Happy Holidays
The holiday season is a great time to work on a genealogy project. As families gather together, they can talk to one another about their family history. Older relatives should be “interviewed” by the younger ones about their family tree. It is a good time to gather around the fireplace and listen to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s stories. Aunts, uncles, cousins could also swap stories and share the family history they have compiled.
Family photos could also be shared. Older photographs are often the most valuable to genealogists. You can scan photographs and download them on to a flash drive for free at the Local History & Genealogy Center
Several sources that can help you compile your family tree are available at the Local History & Genealogy Center. We hope you visit our Center this holiday season.
