In December, we aquired a new microfilm reader/printer that has scanning capabilities. You can scan records/articles from the microfilm and download the files onto your flashdrive. You can also e-mail the files to yourself.
This new service is free of charge.
In order to better serve our customers, the Local History & Genealogy Center is expanding its hours on Saturdays.
Beginning February 16th, the Center will be open from 10:00am-5:oopm every Saturday.

Access to full text articles (including obituaries) in the Muncie Star Press newspaper is now available online at all Muncie Public Library branches. Coverage is back to the year 2000.
You can also access this database from home with a valid Muncie Public Library card.
Older newspaper articles are available on microfilm at the Local History and Genealogy Center.
Our heat has been restored and we are open for business as usual.
