The Local History & Genealogy Center needs Indexers for our historic Delaware County Court Records project. If you love history and want to help preserve these records for future generations, please call us at 747-8208 for more information.
New “scanning” microfilm reader/printer at the Local History & Genealogy Center
In December, we aquired a new microfilm reader/printer that has scanning capabilities. You can scan records/articles from the microfilm and download the files onto your flashdrive. You can also e-mail the files to yourself.
This new service is free of charge.
Expanded Saturday hours start on February 16th, 2008
In order to better serve our customers, the Local History & Genealogy Center is expanding its hours on Saturdays.
Beginning February 16th, the Center will be open from 10:00am-5:oopm every Saturday.
Muncie Star Press online
Access to full text articles (including obituaries) in the Muncie Star Press newspaper is now available online at all Muncie Public Library branches. Coverage is back to the year 2000.
You can also access this database from home with a valid Muncie Public Library card.
Older newspaper articles are available on microfilm at the Local History and Genealogy Center.
