Local History & Genealogy Research Requests

If you cannot visit our library, we will be happy to answer your research requests  by e-mail at lhgresearch@munpl.org

We can do “lookups” in our obituary index, city directories, birth and death indexes,  marriage, deed, and cemetery indexes and other sources.  Due to staffing constraints, we are unable to do in depth, extended research. We will make photocopies of the information we find, so be sure to send us your postal address.

We do charge for this service at $15.00 per hour with a $8.00 minimum charge. Most requests are billed at the minimum fee.
